Enjoying life

 

This was the highlight of the week for sure! It was so fun to get our marriage license. They ended up taking away my keys when we walked in because of my Swiss army knife haha I mean Im still a Hedman for a little bit, gotta keep representing the family haha

We went to 'Farm Food' for our date night which was probably the best meal I have ever had in my life. Super fresh and delicious. 

I needed to get black shoes for Burger King and it was a little stressful haha

My sweet friend Jessica sent me this package as a random 'pick me up'

and it came on a really hard day. She is so inspired <3

Here is an update on our living room. Katelyn got us this beautiful rug off of our registry ;)

Travis got off work early one day and surprised me with flowers and my favorite candy when I came home from work.. He is the sweetest <3

We also looked at shoes for Travis 

We had our first guests over! The sister missionaries came over and gave us a member lesson with a sweet card and muffins.

I was in distress because I wanted to bake something but didn't have certain ingredients for stuff and then Travis saved the day and brought be his over ripe bananas, so I made banana muffins. Shout out to Natalie for the baking pans ;)

The Arrival to Corvallis!!

 

We got our keys to our new home!

Mom and Dad helped me move all of my stuff; it was a big effort but they were both champs!

We even fit this huge bed frame into their car.. it went all the way to the front seats (making a nice divider for mom and dad lol

We have a plum tree in our backyard. Once you wipe the spider webs off of them they are pretty good.

One day I walked around our apartment barefoot and the bottom of my feet turned black so we decided it would be good to invest in some cleaning equipment for wood floors.

Got a little painting done this week

Iris kept me company

We even Painted the same picture! If you look closely you can see the letter "K".. I taught her how to write my name too.

Iris and I painted each others nails. This was my manicure, pretty good for her first manicure on            someone else. 

I video chatted with the girls 

Made a home for a roly-poly with Iris

Travis came up!! Then we made my friend's famous pretzel recipe that I have been wanting to make.

We checked out the dollar store... Travis wanted to show me how things are actually a dollar here since there is no sales tax in Oregon. We even found a few things for our kitchen <3

We got out all his old stuff in the attic to move into our new home. Yes that is a Dwight Schrute bobble head.. the Penningtons are big Office fans.

Our final long distance goodbye! We are so excited to be able to see each other everyday starting next week!! 

Moved to Medford

                  My Drive up was beautiful! Turns out 10 hours of the drive were still in California and the other 30 min was in Oregon. Medford is really close to the boarder. 

We got Travis his suit for the wedding! He looked super handsome and we even got a good deal on it! Also, this is pretty much the only picture we took together this weekend haha so enjoy!

Travis needed to change his oil while he came home. Lets just say I am the best assistant ever.

Mike ended up helping us haha 

We went on a bear scavenger hunt through Grants Pass or as Travis likes to call is Grass Pants

We also opened some of our gifts together that had been piling up! The ricks sent us a surprise gift of some cute spatulas along with what they got us :)
